Vibration compensation for industrial robots
Faster movement. Improved accuracy.
We transform robotics with advance software solutions.
Ulendo VC-R is a collection of algorithms that compensate for the vibration that occurs when a vibration-prone robot is operated at high speeds and/or with heavy payloads. Founded on Ulendo's patented FBS (filtered b-splines) algorithm, Ulendo VC-R uses advanced techniques to increase the operating speed and accuracy of industrial robots. We work with industrial robot manufacturers to bring great speed and accuracy to industrial applications (e.g., handling, welding, inspection, assembling and machining operations).
Our software innovation can significantly impact the performance of all five types of industrial robots: Cartesian, Scara, polar, articulated, delta. Historically, manufacturers of vibration-prone robots have utilized mechanical means (e.g., stiffening/dampening parts) to address the negative impact of machine vibration. This approach however, significantly increases the cost, weight, size and energy consumption of these machines. But with Ulendo VC-R, robot manufacturers can achieve greater speed and accuracy while simultaneously lightweighting their machines to significantly reduce machine cost.
